The Challenge

PT were experiencing low pre-trip Class-B assessment pass rates, resulting in large monthly expenses. The PT team identified a novel approach to learning, and wanted to implement their vision to help trainees fully prepare for their assessments. They asked MXT & DoT to help trainees with every stage of the pre-trip curriculum by using VR.

Our Solution

Collaboratively, we developed a VR training program specifically designed to address Pierce Transit’s needs for pre-trip assessments. The virtual training program simulates the entire pre-trip inspection process, providing an interactive, immersive learning experience for drivers. This solution enables trainees to practice in a realistic, risk-free environment before taking the actual assessment. Users are able to learn about the bus, the procedures, and the self-test on the requirements.
